Ace was rescued from a small rural pound located at the county dump!! He was so sad and covered with fleas and extremetly thin. Well, he may have been someone's "trash" but we think he is a true TREASURE!! Ace's right hind leg was partially lame from an old injury. The rescue made sure Ace got the care he needed. The orthopedic specialist performed surgery on 7/31/07 to treat the chronic hip dislocation and Ace had rehab in his foster home. He was such a trooper with his stretching exercises and weight bearing. He is using the leg well and is encouraged to go on leash walks and romps in the backyard or dog park. Ace is expected to make a good recovery and lead a full active life. He is a sweet natured, gentle beagle boy that has so much love to give. He seems very smart and was quickly housebroken. He gets along with kids and my other beagles. He did try to chase a small chihuahua in the dog park so may not do well with very small dogs or cats.
