CJ has turned into our “Miracle Beagle”. When she came to us she was not able to walk, due to a damaged disc, and we were not given much hope that she would ever walk at all. We started by getting a K-9 Kart, tried acupuncture, underwent many hydrotherapy sessions and spent a lot of time swimming in her foster’s pool and exercising her legs.  Her progress has been truly amazing! There is no doubt that CJ can be a handful, especially when she spies a squirrel, duck, bird, cat, etc.  She jumps into hunting mode and starts the chase with that wonderful Beagle baying as she runs along. CJ has a veracious appetite and it is very important that her food be portion controlled so she does not get overweight. 

CJ is able to use the bathroom on her own 100% of the time now.  It is an absolute joy to watch her get around all on her own!  She does drag her hind legs from time to time, but it never slows her down!  Her foster mom said that she is able to get up at least 3 steps on her own (supervised of course). 

CJ is a sweetheart who loves to be touched and to have lots of people around her.  CJ will need someone with a big heart and lots of patience to push her to her full potential, is that you?  

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
